Geoffrey Alan Rhodes

Geoffrey Alan Rhodes Geoffrey Alan Rhodes is a filmmaker and installation artist working in upstate New York. His work seeks to open up new ground for cinema, challenging barriers between the gallery and the theater, the real and the imaginary, the actual and the fictional. He is currently touring two gallery media art exhibitions, a multi-channel video installation “Double Narcissism” (recently installed at the Arlington Arts Center), and an interactive Augmented Reality installation, “52 Card Cinema.” His first feature fiction film, Buried Land, premiered this year at the Tribeca Film Festival. Rhodes has received production grants and other awards from the Princess Grace Foundation, the New York Council for the Humanities, the Applied Humanities Research Council, UK, the Fulbright Foundation, and others. He is currently a member of the faculty of the School of Film and Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
