Eamonn Wall is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently: A Tour of Your Country (Salmon Publishing, 2008). A new volume, Sailing Lake Mareotis, will appear from Salmon in 2011. From the Sin-e Café to the Black Hills, a collection of essays on immigrant themes, was published by the University of Wisconsin Press in 2000 and awarded the Michael J. Durkan Prize by the American Conference for Irish Studies for excellence in scholarship.Ecologies and Traditions: Writing the Irish West, a work of literary criticism exploring connections between literature and ecology, will be published by University of Notre Dame Press, in 2011. Essays, articles, and reviews of Irish, Irish American, and American writers have appeared in The Irish Times, New Hibernia Review, Irish Literary Supplement, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, South Carolina Review, An Sionnach, and other journals. Eamonn Wall lives in St. Louis, Missouri, and is Smurfit-Stone Professor of Irish Studies and Professor of English at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
