Ashley Butler is the author of Dear Sound of Footstep. She received a B.A. from Columbia University and an MFA from the University of Iowa. Her work has recently appeared or is forthcoming in Jubilat, Ninth Letter, Creative Nonfiction, POOL, and Gulf Coast. She has been a writer-in-residence at the Ucross Foundation, Jentel Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center, and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She lives in Texas.
