Duriel E. Harris

Duriel E. Harris Duriel E. Harris is a co-founder of Black Took Collective and Poetry Editor for Obsidian. A poet, performer, sound artist, and scholar, Harris holds degrees from Yale University and the Graduate Creative Writing Program at New York University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Extending the multivocal experiments of Drag (Elixir Press, 2003), she is currently at work on the AMNESIAC media art project. Project writings appear in A Best of Fence, Encyclopedia, Mandorla, milk, Mixed Blood, nocturnes, PMS, Shampoo, and XcP. A member of Douglas Ewart & Inventions free jazz ensemble, Harris is an assistant professor of English and teaches creative writing and poetics at Illinois State University. Her collection Amnesiac: Poems is forthcoming from Sheep Meadow Press.
