My work in sculpture, public art, and drawing recognizes that objects are mutable and that perception is variable. I draw from sources such as Buddhist art and architecture, textile patterns, and common aphorisms to insert ideas into a new syntax of space, light, and texture.
I am most interested in objects when they link our internal landscapes to everyday life. I want to question the facts of shapes, numbers, and words, converting them into baubles in flux. I feel that consciousness is always transforming, and I want my work to function as a probe into such a slippery, alchemical state.
