Meta Adventure

I was initially drawn toward 3D animation for it's potential to create strange and foreign realities for the viewer. Also being an avid gamer it gave me the freedom to explore what I already enjoyed most about games, the false worlds and atmospheres. I feel 3D animation is still a relatively untapped medium within art and video and I'm constantly trying to explore and expand it for viewers in unconventional ways.

My focus is usually on creating metaphysical conundrums, shifting alien worlds, psychedelic abusurdist fantasies, foreign bleeding realms and morphing space pods. My hope is that after watching my videos the viewer leaves with mixed feelings of awe, wonderment and confusion - like their brain has been momentarily abducted by an unidentifiable entity.

I use software like Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max, Sculptris and After Effects regularly. For Meta-Adventure I animated meta-balls in Cinema 4D and created trails in post during the compositing stage. Most people see it as a screen saver. I see it as two alien lifeforms swimming and chasing each other through a vast nebula, perhaps rivals or benevolent lovers.
