Mitsuko Brooks is a NYC based hapa haole bricolage artist and member of The Asian American Women Artists Association.  She earned her B.F.A. at Cooper Union, and also attended The Oxbow School in Napa Valley, CA.  She is a 2013 Artist-in-Residence at The School of Making Thinking, and was a 2012 Artist in Residence at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, and received The Sally Van Der Lier Fellowship. She has exhibited internationally and nationally at SOMArts, Thoreau Center of Sustainability, Documenta 13, and San Francisco Art Institute, Rush Arts, Stephan Stoyanov Gallery, and The Ontological Museum. Her work is represented by Recession Art in Brooklyn.
