Brian Howe is a freelance arts and entertainment journalist, poet and sound artist from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is the author of three chapbooks of poetry: Guitar Smash (3rdness Press), This is the Motherfucking Remix with Marcus Slease (Scantily Clad), and Foreign Letter (Beard of Bees). His poems are published or forthcoming in Octopus, Cannibal, Coconut, Esque, Horse Less, Effing, McSweeney’s online, and others. His sound and video work, archived here and here respectively, have been featured in many online journals and festivals. “Ludic” comes from an album-length collaboration, The Lion’s Face, with the poet Tim Van Dyke.   

Tim Van Dyke

Tim Van Dyke grew up in Colombia, South America, until guerilla warfare forced him back to the United States. Since then, he has worked in several insane asylums. In 2011, Lavender Ink published his first book, Topographies Drawn with a Divine Chain of Birds, and he has a chapbook, Fugue Engine, published by Cannibal Books. He also has an e-book out with Argotist, Light on the Lion's Face: A Reading of Baudrillard's Seduction. His work has appeared in Fascicle, Typo, Octopus, and others.
