American Conference for Irish Studies
James Silas Rogers, currently president of the American Conference for Irish Studies, edits the journal New Hibernia Review. His scholarly publications focus on Irish-American literature. His articles have appeared in U. S. Catholic Historian, the Canadian Journal of Irish Studies, and New Perspectives on the Irish Diaspora (2001). In 2009, Irish Academic Press published After the Flood: Irish America, 1945-1960, which he co-edited with Matthew O’Brien. He is the author of a poetry chapbook, Sundogs (2006), and a nonfiction book on cemeteries that will appear in 2011. His recent research deals with Irish-American autobiography.
