Phantom Tsimengting
Born in 1980 in Shanghai, Yang Yongliang graduated from Shanghai Institute of Design of China Academy of Art in 1999, majoring in visual communication and design. He now works and lives in Shanghai. His practice involves varied media including photography, painting, video and installation. He is best known for the contemporary ink landscape he created by integrating numerous urban and natural images together. Yang’s work has been exhibited at Moscow Biennale (Moscow), the Metropolitan Museum (New York) and Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (Beijing) among others and is collected by public institutes such as the British Museum, National Gallery of Victoria as well as by private collectors globally.
