A Ph.D. candidate in Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University, David Francis was a Fulbright Fellow in Colombia and is currently translating a collection of poems by the Cuban writer Severo Sarduy.  His recent translations have appeared in Guernica: A Magazine of Art & Politics, Inventory, and The FSG Book of Twentieth-Century Latin American Poetry.  Currently, he is a Harvard Traveling Scholar in Mexico City.
