Inspired by a range of digital literature, some students in my Writing for New Media course in the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing at HKBU chose to respond to the Umbrella Movement. The pieces included in this special feature demonstrate thoughtful perspectives on the protest movement, but perhaps what I like most about these works is that they are difficult to classify—just like Hong Kong itself.
