Chanell Ruth

Chanell Ruth received her MFA with an emphasis in Poetry from Chicago State University. She is serving Poetry Editor of Warpland Literary Journal; her poems have appeared in Reverie, Louisiana English Journal, The Tidal Basin Review, Fingernails Across the Chalkboard: Poetry and Prose on HIV/AIDS from the Black Diaspora and the stage adaptation of the text, and Spaces Between Us: Poetry, Prose and Art on HIV/AIDS (2010). Her poetry was curated at the DuSable Museum exhibit The Citizen’s Picnic: Lynching in America from 1865 to Present (2008). Chanell, a Hurston/Wright Alum, and teaches English Composition.
