Dan Tesene

Dan Tesene is best known for his labor intensive drawings and intricate sculptures that transform mundane patterns and information into conceptually rich images. His drawings and sculptures bring together complex patterns found in nature and relate them to the manufactured world we are immersed in. Tesene has exhibited in New York City, Florence Italy, Cairo, and Alexandria Egypt. In 2005 he received the Jerome Foundation Fellowship for the arts after completing his BFA at the Minneapolis College of art and Design. While attending MCAD, he received a Merit and Vanderlip Scholarship. Currently, Tesene operates his own digital fabrication studio Artifact Projects in New York City, as well as managing the mold making and casting facilities at Atta Inc.
