A visual artist and poet working in cross-genre media, Meredith Stricker co-created a performance involving colony collapse disorder and the necessary beauty of bees with composers and beekeepers using piano, cello, accordion, trumpet, tonkori, poetry, video, projection stills, overlapping voices and audience improvisation. Stricker is the author of Tenderness Shore (National Poetry Series/LSU); Alphabet Theater, (mixed-media poetry from Wesleyan) and Mistake (Caketrain). She works in visual poetry collaborative, a studio that focuses on architecture in Big Sur and projects to bring together artists, writers, musicians and experimental forms.
