DB's Assistant Poetry Editor Michelle Chan Brown has just won Kore Press's 2011 First Book Award.
Congratulations to Michelle Chan Brown (photo credit to Klea McKenna), winner of the Kore Press 2011 First Book Award for her poetry collection Double Agent. Michelle Chan Brown was born in London and grew up all over Eastern Europe. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Witness, Sycamore Review, The Missouri Review, Tampa Review, Gertrude, The Concher, textsound, and others. Her chapbook, "The Clever Decoys," is available from LATR Editions. She earned her BA and MFA at the University of Michigan. Michelle lives in Pomfret, Connecticut, where she is Writer-in-Residence at Pomfret School and directs the summer arts workshop Broken Bridge. Find her online at www.michellechanbrown.com.
