Matthew Rotando is a poet and an ink-noodler. He has a B.A. from Duke, an M.F.A. from Brooklyn College, and a Ph.D. from The University of Arizona. His mothers include, but are not limited to: Emily Dickinson, Paul Klee, Henri Michaux, Russell Edson, and Federico Garcia Lorca. His first book of poems is The Comeback's Exoskeleton (2008). His second book, Hail, is forthcoming. Both are from Upset Press. He lives near New York City with his gal, Dolores, and their boy, Axel Ray. His dominant elements are water and earth, which make mud.
