Anomaly is seeking a new Fiction Editor to join our (all volunteer) staff.
The fiction editor would be responsible for heading their section’s team of assistant genre editors and readers. Enthusiastic about the innovative, international, and intersectional, the ideal candidates would be able to develop an editorial vision for their section in each of our twice-yearly issues.
An interest in small press publications and a competency with writing by marginalized writers is a plus.
Editors would be in charge of working with their section to select work for publication, editing pieces as needed (or coordinating the delegation of this to assistant editors), writing the introduction to their section for each issue, as well as soliciting writers, and helping to promote issue launches and calls for submissions.
Editors should expect an average workload of 3–6 hours per week, with a commitment of one year.
If interested, please send a CV and a statement of interest, including some thoughts on your personal editorial ethos to editor@anomalouspress.org.
