Purna Viram is a major Nepali poet. He was associated with the People’s War in Nepal that raged in last decade of 20th Century and was imprisoned many times. Now he claims to be an independent poet writing for the people of Nepal. His poems have been collected in three volumes, most recent being, Itihaska Killaharu. Recipient of several awards and honors including Parijat Poetry Award and Vyathit Award, he lives in Kathmandu.
