María José Giménez is a translator, editor and rough-weather poet with a rock climbing problem. Recent work appears in Prelude, Rogue Agent, Drunken Boat, The Apostles Review and Cactus Heart, and in the anthologies Cloudburst: An Anthology of Hispanic Canadian Short Stories and Cuentos de nuestra palabra en Canadá: Primera hornada. Translations include poetry, short fiction, essays, screenplays, and Edurne Pasaban’s memoir Tilting at Mountains (Mountaineers Books, 2014). Her translation of Alejandro Saravia’s novel Red, Yellow and Green (forthcoming: Biblioasis, 2016) has received fellowships from the NEA and the Banff Centre for the Arts. She is part of Montreal's collective The Apostles Review.
