An Overview of What’s to Come from Carleen Tibbetts

For this ongoing column, I intend to keep y’all abreast of what I’m into currently in poetry. This means books I’m reading, what I’m listening to when I write, what books I’m reviewing, etc. It’ll be a smattering of my days, so to speak. Right now, I’m reading Jane Lewty, Rebecca Wolff, and Chrissie Hynde’s autobiography. After I finish those, I will delve into Cathy Park Hong, Joshua Ware, Jenny Drai, and a book I got at Myopic in Chicago called The Sanctified Body, which looks at the Catholic saints with a focus on mysticism, levitation, biolocation, and something on the cover described as “the perfumes of sanctity” which drew me in immediately . On deck for review I have Simeon Berry, Valerie Mejer, Daniel Borzutsky, and Cassandra Smith, to name a few.
