Peter Orner's collection, Esther Stories will be published by Houghton Mifflin this November. His stories have appeared in The Southern Review, The Atlantic, Best American Stories (2001), and the Pushcart Prize Anthology. He has taught at Charles University in Prague and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He is in the process of loading a U-Haul and moving to northern California.
