Thomas Swiss, thomas.swiss@drake.edu, is Center for the Humanities Professor of English at Drake University. He is the author of two collections of poems: Rough Cut (University of Illinois) and Measure (University of Alabama). He is the co-editor of a number of books, including Mapping the Beat: Cultural Theory and Pop Music(Blackwell) and The World Wide Web and Contemporary Cultural Theory: Magic, Metaphor, and Power (Routledge).
