Work in NYC doing commercial photography from 1985 to 1995
MFA Indiana University 1998
Begin present position as Assistant Professor at Kalamazoo College
fall of 1998.
Have been in numerous juried group shows, won several awards in each
of the last two years.
Was asked to speak in conjunction with one of these shows at the University
of Toledo, Ohio, November 1999.
Attended the Vermont Studio Center in summer of 1999 and Studio Camnitzer,
near Lucca, Italy, in the summer of 2000.
This February, one of Richard's pieces was chosen to be included in
The Roche Contemporary
Art Prize, an all-media exhibition and tour in Australia.
The contestants were provided with the phrase, "sometimes bed is not
an option" as an open-ended theme from which to work.
