Serge
Gavronsky, a professor
of French at Barnard University and renowned translator of French
(including a long project translating Zukofskys A)
has published two novels (SUN and Spirali), ten books of poetry
in France (including six livres dartiste), as well as four
critical works. Forthcoming this year is a book of poems in English,
Sixty-Six for Starters (Talisman), two books of poetry in
France, Temps mort (Ulysse fin de siecle) and Fragment
dun discour sur la fin du monde (Al Dante), an essay,
Ponge a New York (La Main courante) and a prose piece, Petite
Histoire du P.C.R.. (Harpo&)
