The Owl

Christopher Warner

The Owl

whiskey fire roar

and woman sleeping

I awoke dark

from owl window

calling snow

to morning places

skin smell

and the soft gone

jacket trees

and boots on

found god

sleeping still

in stick places

I called feather

head back, roar

snow, fire, skin

whiskey dark

and sleep again
