Martha Silano

Martha Silano is the author of three full-length poetry collections, What the Truth Tastes Like, Blue Positive, and The Little Office of the Immaculate Conception, chosen by Campbell McGrath for the 2010 Saturnalia Book Prize and forthcoming from Saturnalia Books in early 2011. Her work recently appears in Starting Today: 100 Poems for Obama’s First 100 Days (U. of Iowa Press 2010), The Best American Poetry 2009 (Scribners), Puerto del Sol, Rattle, Cincinnati Review, and The American Poetry Review. Silano teaches at Bellevue College, in Bellevue, Washington.
