A native of New York City, Abbie Barrett has lived in the Boston area for the past nine years where she performs as both a solo artist and with her band. In 2008, she was featured in American Songwriter magazine for her song “Train”. That same year, she received runner-up in the International Acoustic Music Awards for Best Female Artist.
