Julie Marie Wade completed a Master of Arts in English at Western Washington University in 2003 and a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. She has received the Chicago Literary Award for Poetry, the Gulf Coast Nonfiction Prize, the Oscar Wilde Poetry Prize, the Literal Latte Nonfiction Award, the AWP Intro Journals Award for Nonfiction, and 6 Pushcart Prize nominations. She lives with Angie and their two cats in Kentucky, where she is a graduate teaching fellow in the PhD in Humanities program at the University of Louisville.
