Florencia Varela was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her poems have previously appeared in journals such as The Paterson Literary Review, and in the anthology Stranger at Home: American Poetry with an Accent from Numina Press. She currently lives in Brooklyn, while working towards her MFA in poetry at Columbia University.
