Astrid van Baalen (Astrid Alben) grew up in England and now lives and works in Amsterdam. Her poems have been published in Jacket, The Wolf, Stand Magazine, Shadowtrain, Shearsman Magazine, Poetry Ireland Review, and others. She was longlisted for the Bridport Poetry Prize and is the translator of F. van Dixhoorn. She is also the founder and editor of Pars, an arts and sciences publication.
