Sora Kim-Russell is a poet and literary translator, originally from California, now living in Seoul, Korea. She received the grand prize in poetry from the Korea Times' 36th Modern Korean Literature Translation Awards in 2005, and the grand prize in fiction from the Korean Literature Translation Institute’s 6th Korean Literature Translation Contest for New Translators in 2007. Her writing has appeared in Pebble Lake Review, The Diagram, Onthebus, and other publications. In addition, her translations have appeared in Azalea: A Journal of Korean Literature and Culture in 2009.
