Carol Vanderveer Hamilton teaches in the English Department at the University of Pittsburgh. Her most recent book of poems is entitled Blindsight (Carnegie Mellon University Press). Her poems have appeared in The Paris Review, North American Review, Salmagundi, The Gettysburg Review, and many other literary magazines. An avid cyclist, she has biked around Berlin, Paris, London, Florence, New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. She blogs about politics and history for various websites, including hnn.us.
