Rebecca Gopoian ’s poems and stories have appeared or are forthcoming in: the Denver Quarterly, Jubilat, Bateau, the Avatar Review, Bombay Gin, EOAGH, elimae, Taint, Tarpaulin Sky, Sleeping Fish, Margie, and The Cupboard. Two of her cartoon essays illustrated by David Heatley, “The Crèche” and “Godless and Penniless: A Christmas Story”, have been published in the New York Times. Her book-length poem, “Two,” was read in its entirety by actress Diane DiCroce as part of an event at UnionDocs in Brooklyn, NY in June 2008. Gopoian received her MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2002 and her BA from Oberlin College. She lives in Jackson Heights, Queens with her husband and two children.
