William Frawley is now doing consulting for the Center for Applied Linguistics and the Institute for Defense Analyses after a long career as a professor and administrator. He is the author or editor of more than a dozen books and has published or presented over one hundred papers and reviews on language, thought, and meaning. He began his career as a translator of late French surrealist poetry and is currently the editor of the academic journal Dictionaries. He lives in the Washington, DC area.
