Artist's Statement

This excerpt is from an untitled novel-in-progress that is
about the effects of a young man's suicide on a group of people who had little or nothing to do with the man before he died. Michael Furey, the young man who commits suicide, was in the closet—his death is a
supernova that blows open the closets all around him.
