Marcos Mataratas is from Sonora and Arizona. He is 21 and recently got a BA in linguistics at the University of Arizona which helped him get a job at a dollar store unloading freight trucks. He has no previous publications, but has a finished novel, about five short stories, and about seven or eight poems that he hopes will be liked enough to be published, or at least read, whenever he figures out who to send them to.
