Robert Majzels is a novelist, playwright, poet and translator. His most recent novels are Apikoros Sleuth (2004) and The Humbugs Diet (2007). His translations of Du Fu were included in Drunken Boat 9. This Night the Kapo, a full-length play, was produced at the Berkley Street Theatre in Toronto, in 2004. He has translated fiction by France Daigle and, with Erín Moure, several books of poetry by Nicole Brossard, including Notebook of Roses & Civilization (2007). With Claire Huot, he has collaborated to translate a series of works of Chinese classical poetry into visual texts. He is an Associate Professor dabbling in English at the University of Calgary.
