R. Parthasarathy is an Indian poet and translator whose works include Rough Passage, Ten Twentieth-Century Indian Poets, and The Tale of an Anklet: An Epic of South India, which received the National Academy of Letters Translation Prize in 1996. He teaches Indian literature at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY.
