Salman Tarik Kureshi was born and educated at Lahore and lives in Karachi. Some the books he has written and edited include Landscapes of the Mind, Whispers of the Desert, and Cry in the Wilderness: Urdu Poems With English Translations. His work has appeared in a number of anthologies, including Pieces of Eight (1971), Legacy of the Indus (1974), and Dragonfly in the Sun (1997).
