Kaiser Haq
born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and educated at the universities of Dhaka and Warwick, Kaiser Haq is a poet, essayist, and translator. He has been a Commonwealth Scholar, Senior Fulbright Scholar, Vilas Fellow, Royal Literary Fund Fellow, and resident poet at the Poetry Cafe run by the Poetry Society of the U.K. He has published half a dozen collections of poetry, most recently Published in the Streets of Dhaka: Collected Poems 1967-2007. He has translated a number of volumes, and has edited Contemporary Indian Poetry.
