Mary Toscano grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and received a BFA in Printmaking and Photography from the University of Utah. After graduating in 2007, Toscano worked at the Book Arts Program at the University of Utah as the Exhibitions and Book Arts Coordinator, teaching and assisting letterpress and book binding classes. Currently, Toscano works as a full time artist, mainly creating drawings and paper installations. Her recent works incorporates slide projections and movement as a means to investigate a relationship between time and perception. Toscano has been an artist-in-residence at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and at Birch Creek Ranch; her work has been shown throughout Utah and nationwide.
