Kristin Dimitrova (born May 1963) is a Bulgarian poet, writer and translator. She is the author of eleven books of poetry, including The Cardplayer’s Morning (2008, translated into Czech), A Visit to the Clockmaker (2005, Ireland), and My Life in Squares (2010, UK). Her fiction includes the novel Sabazius (2007, translated into Russian, Romanian and German) and two short story collections: Love and Death under the Crooked Pear Trees (2004) and The Secret Way of the Ink (2010, translated into Macedonian). Dimitrova has won five awards for poetry, three for fiction, and two for translations of John Donne and Lewis Carroll. Works by Dimitrova have been translated into 27 languages and published in 32 countries.
