Óscar Curieses (Madrid, 1972) is a writer, translator and professor. His poetry collections include Sonetos del útero (Bartleby Editores, 2007), Dentro (Bartleby Editores, 2010), and Icebergs (Bartleby Editores, 2016), Hay una jaula en cada pájaro (Editorial Ya lo dijo Casimiro Parker, 2012), which includes the improvisational "El grito es un movimiento inacabado" with audioperformance AMC313. He translated The Electric Comedy (Amargord Ediciones, 2016) by Rolando Pérez and The Gold Cell (Bartleby Editores, 2016) by Sharon Olds into Spanish. Hombre en azul (Jekyll&Jill Editores, 2014) is inspired by the biography and work of painter Francis Bacon.
