Regent of the College de ‘Pataphysique from its inception, François Caradec joined the Oulipo in 1983. He is the author of biographies on Isidore Ducasse (Lautréamont), Alfred Jarry, Raymond Roussel and Alphonse Allais, whose work he has re-edited. Bibliographer of Boris Vian, historian of comic books, he especially enjoys and pursues pastiche and mystification, as well as modern slang. He has published what he calls “prose comic strips.” He is a regular participant in the radio program “Les Papous dans la tête” on France Culture.
