Marianna Georgieva was born in 1986. She received her law degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. In October 2012, she started a master's program in creative writing at Sofia University. In October 2015, she started a master's program in artistic psychosocial practices and psychodrama at the New Bulgarian University. Georgieva made her literary debut with the novel The Debtor, which was released in 2014 by the St. Kliment Ohridski publishing house. Her work has been printed in Granta Bulgaria and The Literary Journal. She writes poetry and prose.
