Ian Monk

Ian Monk was born near London, but now lives in Paris, where he works as a writer and translator (of, among others, Georges Perec, Raymond Roussel and Jacques Roubaud). After contributing to the Oulipo Compendium (Atlas Press) he became a member of the Oulipo in 1988. He has published books in English such as Family Archaeology and Writings for the Oulipo (Make Now), in French (Plouk Town and (Cambourakis)), and even both N/S (with Frédéric Forte) and Les Feuilles de Yucca / Leaves of the Yucca, a bilingual ebook (www.contre-mur.com). A new collection of his French poetry Vers de l’infini will be published by Cambourakis in April.
