Derek Mong

Derek Mong is the author of Other Romes (Saturnalia Books, 2011); the poetry editor at Mantis: A Journal of Poetry, Criticism, & Translation; and a doctoral candidate at Stanford, where he’s finishing a dissertation on Whitman and Dickinson. His adaptions from Latin have appeared in the Southern Review, Crazyhorse, Printer’s Devil Review, The Laurel Review, and Artful Dodge. With his wife, Anne O. Fisher, he translates the Russian poet Maxim Amelin (b. 1970), whose first English-language interview appeared in Jacket2.
