Circe Maia (Montevideo, Uruguay, 1932) is an Uruguayan poet, essayist, translator, and teacher of philosophy. She is the author of eleven poetry collections and the novel Un Viaje a Salto. A bilingual collection of her work, The Invisible Bridge / El Puente Invisible: Selected Poems of Circe Maia, translated by Jesse Lee Kercheval, was published by the University of Pittsburgh Press in 2015.
